Getting your Faire retailers onto your Shopify site: three routes
October 2026 · Dynamic Store Locator details are from its App Store listing as checked in October 2026
If you sell wholesale on Faire, the retailers who carry your products are already on record. There are three ways to turn them into a "where to buy" map on your Shopify store: Nearmio's Faire Connect, a different Shopify app that lists Faire sync, or a CSV built from your own order export. One of these is ours, so here is the comparison, including where another route fits better.
The three routes at a glance
| Route | What it reads | How you run it | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Faire Connect (Nearmio) | Your Faire brand profile and order history, with a token you paste in | You press Import again whenever you want it refreshed | Beta, switched on per store on request |
| Dynamic Store Locator | Its listing says it syncs retailers from Faire and adds retailers when an order is placed | Its listing says retailers are added automatically | Its listing shows Faire integration on the paid plans |
| CSV import | A file you build from your own order records | You upload the file, check the preview, commit | Available now in Nearmio |
What each route reads
Faire Connect makes two kinds of request to Faire: one to read your brand profile, to prove the token works, and one to read your orders. It cannot create, edit or cancel anything on Faire. The token is pasted into Nearmio rather than granted by Shopify, so the app still requests no Shopify access scopes.
Dynamic Store Locator: its listing says it syncs retailers from Faire and other B2B channels, and adds retailers automatically when an order is placed. Read its listing for what it asks for and how it connects; this page does not describe that.
CSV import reads whatever file you give it. The steps for building the file from your Faire orders are in Turn your Faire retailer list into a "where to buy" map. In the Nearmio app, open Locations, then Import from CSV; you see a row-by-row preview before anything is created.
Re-running, and duplicates
- Faire Connect. Each retailer is saved under its Faire retailer ID. Press Import again after a busy wholesale week: new retailers are added and existing ones are updated in place, with no duplicates.
- Dynamic Store Locator. Its listing does not say how it handles a retailer that is already on the map, so nothing is claimed here.
- CSV. Keep one row per retailer; if the same address appears twice in one file, the preview marks the second row a duplicate. A re-upload updates rows that match an existing location by address, or by an
external_idcolumn if you use one. The matching rules are in How to import your stockists from a CSV.
Moving from CSV to Faire Connect. If you built your list from a CSV that has no external_id, and you later switch on Faire Connect, the import takes over a CSV-made location that sits at the same address as a retailer instead of adding a second one: the location is updated with Faire's details (name, tags (replaced with Faire's, so any tags you added are lost) and phone where Faire has one) and the Faire ID is attached. Faire Connect shows no preview, so check those locations afterwards. A retailer whose address differs from the one in your CSV comes in as a new location, so look for leftovers. Going the other way works too: a CSV imported after Faire Connect matches those locations by address, when the row has no external_id and its address is the same as the one Faire Connect saved.
For keeping any of these lists fresh after the first import, see How to keep your stockist list up to date.
Beta status
Faire Connect is in beta. It is switched on per store: email support@nearmio.com with your store's URL and we reply within one business day. The import runs when you press the button. Scheduled syncing, and retailers who have not ordered in a long while dropping off the map, are what we are building next; they are not there today.
Dynamic Store Locator's listing describes both of those as things it does: adding retailers automatically when an order is placed, and hiding retailers who have not purchased in 6+ months. If you need that today, that is a reason to look at its listing. The CSV route has no sync at all; you re-upload.
Price
| Route | What it costs |
|---|---|
| Nearmio (Faire Connect or CSV) | Free for up to 5 locations, so on the Free plan the first 5 retailers are imported. Pro is $9.99/month flat, unlimited locations, 7-day free trial. |
| Dynamic Store Locator | Its listing shows a free Basic plan with up to 10 locations. Faire integration is listed on Advanced, $30/month, up to 1,500 locations, and Business Plus, $50/month, unlimited locations. Both have a 7-day free trial. Charges are billed in USD every 30 days. |
Prices are as the listing showed them in October 2026; check the listing before you decide.
What to check before you publish
- Home addresses. A retailer can ship to a home. Faire Connect uses a retailer's most recent non-residential address and skips a retailer whose only address is a home, unless you choose to include them. A CSV has no such filter, so read the rows yourself.
- Stockrooms and offices. The address is sometimes a storeroom or an office, not the shop floor.
- Shops with no storefront. Online-only retailers give shoppers nothing to visit.
- Pins in the wrong place. Skim the map after the first import; here is how to find and fix a pin.
Which route when
- Pick Dynamic Store Locator if you want Faire sync that adds retailers on its own, as its listing describes, and a paid plan from $30/month suits you.
- Pick Faire Connect if you want your Faire orders read directly, with a flat $9.99/month, and a manual re-run is fine while it is in beta.
- Pick the CSV route if you want to start today, or you refresh the list once a season. It works on the free plan for up to 5 locations.
