Privacy Policy

What we process

Merchants (our customers): your shop domain and the location data you enter into Nearmio — names, addresses, coordinates, phone numbers, hours, websites, and tags. This is used solely to render your store-locator. It's stored until you uninstall the app or request deletion.

Shoppers (your customers): when a shopper taps "Near me," their browser shares their location with their explicit permission. That location is used on-device to sort nearby stores and is never stored or transmitted to us. A typed postcode or city search is sent to our map/geocoding provider to convert it into coordinates; we do not store it against any identity. We store no shopper PII and no precise shopper coordinates — only anonymous, aggregate counts (for example, that a search happened and how many results it returned).

Your rights (GDPR)

Merchant data is created and redacted via Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks. If a shop uninstalls Nearmio, or a data-redaction request is received, all of that shop's location data is deleted.

Retention

Location data is kept for as long as the app is installed, and deleted on uninstall (within Shopify's required window) or upon a redaction request.
